The Baltic Rugby Championship (BRC) is planned to be played by 8 teams - 4 from Latvia and 4 from Lithuania. The participants will be divided into sub-groups A and B, with two teams from each country. The division of the teams into groups will depend on their performance in the national championships. In total, each team will play 6 matches in the BRC (sub-group, 4 semi-finals, ½-finals, play-offs).
Latvian clubs participating in the championship will be rugby clubs "Rāmavas Lāči", "Eži", "Fēnikss" and "Livonia" reserve team. From Lithuania, RK "Kuršiai" from Klaipeda, "Perkūnas" from Plunge, as well as "Vairas" and "Baltrex" reserve teams have registered for the championship.
The BRC will take place in the autumn, alongside the Top League games, tentatively from August to mid-October. Therefore, only one round was played in the Latvian and Lithuanian national championships - in the spring and early summer period.
